My Story
My woodworking journey didn’t start in a traditional workshop; it began on the water, aboard a 25-foot sailboat about 7 years ago. When my wife and I bought our first boat, we threw ourselves into refurbishing it, using the experience as a stepping stone toward something larger—a 32-foot Morgan sailboat that became both a project and an unintended masterclass in patience. Working with teak, restoring every surface by hand, and rebuilding many of the boat’s structural components and systems taught me more than just technical skills. It showed me that there’s beauty in craftsmanship and taking the time to do something well with care and intention.

Before woodworking, I spent nearly two decades in New York City as a gemologist, where precision and attention to detail were essential. That background continues to influence my work today, where each cut and finish reflects the same meticulous care that once drove my analytical career. In both fields, the smallest details often make the biggest impact.

Philosophy
Woodworking, much like life, is about more than just function—it’s about creating something meaningful out of raw materials and shaping something lasting from what others may overlook. Each piece of wood, like all of us, has its own grain, its own history, and when worked with care, has the potential to become something far greater than it initially seemed.
In my work today, I bring that philosophy to every project. Whether it’s a serving tray, a piece of furniture, or a custom commission, I aim to create something that not only functions well but stands as a reflection of the attention and integrity that went into it.
Vision
My vision is to create timeless, handcrafted pieces that embody the fusion of artistry and craftsmanship. Each piece reflects not only the care and precision of traditional woodworking but also the personal insight and creativity I’ve honed through years of diverse experiences. I create one-of-a-kind pieces that reflect the harmony of beauty and function. Each design is rooted in understated elegance, crafted to enhance daily life with subtle refinement and lasting purpose.
